Catherine Gibson practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, business law, personal injury, civil litigation, and immigration. Her practice includes residential and commercial loan modifications, landlord/tenant law and real estate sales. Ms. Gibson has experience in the representation of developers, investors, multi-unit housing, contractors, business owners, and property managers. She represents clients with small business matters and formation of for-profit and not-for-profit businesses. She also has experience with many areas of immigration including the naturalization process, work visas, removal, and marriage-based residency petitions. Ms. Gibson also represents personal injury victims of automobile accidents and slips and falls.

While at Emory Law School, Ms. Gibson was awarded the Henry Quillian prize for outstanding achievement and distinction in Contracts and Commercial Law and the Harry L. and Elanore Raoul Green Scholarship. Prior to opening The Gibson Law Firm, LLC, she clerked for King & Spalding, LLP, and practiced commercial real estate law at Powell Goldstein, LLP.

Carolina Dallal Bryant is a partner with the law firm Ayoub, Mansour & Bryant, LLC and has a varied real estate practice that includes litigation, transactional work, and closing work.  She is experienced in all issues surrounding tax sales as well as ad valorem taxation issues, curative title litigation, and consults developers regularly. She also has experience with land buyer/seller defects, land boundary disputes, including issues surrounding alleyways, contract disputes, foreclosure actions, community association consulting and disputes,  and zoning matters.  She has filed hundreds of quiet title actions throughout the State of Georgia and routinely serves as Special Master in the Fulton County Superior Court. She has been nominated a Super Lawyers Georgia Rising Star for 2014 and 2016 – 2023.

Carolina was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2009 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court.  Carolina graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and Amherst College. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Real Property section. Carolina is also a former board member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation and served as President of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation for board year 2014-2015. Carolina is a graduate of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia’s 2013 Leadership Academy. She frequently presents at CLEs throughout the State of Georgia.

Jonathan specializes in real estate law. His practice focuses on the representation of community association clients such as condominiums, master planned subdivisions, and mixed use developments. He works closely with Boards of Directors and property managers to advise on day-to-day operations. Jonathan’s experience includes handling covenant enforcement matters, property tax issues, boundary disputes, cost-sharing arrangements, developer turn-over, and zoning matters. Jonathan also regularly teaches certified continuing education courses on community association law. Jonathan received his B.S. from the University of Florida in 2005, and his J.D. from Emory University in 2008. Jonathan serves on the Community Association Institute (CAI) Helping Hands Committee. When not at work Jonathan likes spending time with his wife and three sons.

Rick Alembik is the Principal at the Law Offices of Richard S. Alembik, PC, in Decatur, Georgia. Since 1991, he has practiced real estate-related litigation, with a focus on foreclosure defense, title, and construction disputes. Alembik has first-chaired more than seventy jury trials and arbitration proceedings in state and federal courts, and arbitration forums. He has been recognized as a “leading authority on foreclosure defense,” and an “advocate for victims of wrongful foreclosure.” In 2020, he was honored to be named as one of 40 “Consumer Champions” by the National Consumer Law Center in celebration of its 50th anniversary. He has been identified as a Super Lawyer since 2012, and av rated since 2003. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as the Executive Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Alembik has made numerous TV appearances as a legal commentator, and he has provided consultation on state legislation to Georgia legislators and study groups. Alembik is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Venetian Pools Community Association, Inc. where he is also a member of its Board of Directors.

Bob Stupar concentrates his practice on lending and servicing of commercial real estate conduit and balance-sheet loans secured by apartment buildings, shopping centers, strip malls, hotels, warehouses, residential developments, office buildings, and other types of commercial real estate. He regularly represents banks, master servicers, special servicers, CLO issuers, CMBS trusts, insurance companies, and other lenders with respect to commercial real estate loan originations, loan restructurings, loan modifications, loan assumptions, CMBS and CLO securitization compliance, SASB loan servicing, co-lender, loan participant and intercreditor issues, property leasing, property management, zoning, land use, workouts of non-performing commercial real estate loans (forbearances, discounted payoffs, deeds-in-lieu, note sales, receiverships, foreclosures, and the exercise of other secured creditor remedies), and real estate sales.

Bob is a frequent speaker at local and national legal and finance industry events in connection with this practice. He speaks French, Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian, and also has basic knowledge of Japanese language.

Judge Shondeana Morris was appointed to the DeKalb County Superior Court on June 17, 2019. Prior to Judge Morris’ appointment, she served as a DeKalb County State Court Judge.

Judge Morris earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State University. She graduated from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar that same year.

After graduating from law school, Judge Morris served as an Assistant Solicitor in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1999, she joined the Fulton County Office of the District Attorney and was promoted to Deputy District Attorney. As Deputy District Attorney, Judge Morris provided leadership to the Public Integrity Unit, where she worked to ensure public trust in local government and law enforcement; the Crimes Against Women and Children Unit, where she worked to protect families and children; and the Community Prosecution Unit, where she worked with communities and criminal justice partners to provide safe neighborhoods. In recognition of her outstanding trial expertise, Judge Morris received the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation Trial Advocacy Award in 2009.

Judge Morris is involved with many professional, civic, and religious organizations. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, the DeKalb Bar Association, the DeKalb Lawyers Association, the Gate City Bar Association, and the Lawyers Club of Georgia. She serves on several committees for the State Bar of Georgia. Judge Morris also served on the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission, and she is the former chair of the Gate City Bar Association Judicial Section. Judge Morris serves as a proud member of the University of Georgia Alumni Board of Directors and Mercer University Law School Alumni BALSA Council.

An alumnus of Leadership DeKalb, Judge Morris served for nearly a decade as an Executive Board Member of the International Women’s House, a non-profit domestic violence shelter, a member of the Stone Mountain-Lithonia chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and a member of the Lions Club. Committed to the development of young people, she is a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for Atlanta Technical College and frequently serves as a mentor and speaker on topics ranging from law and ethics to mental and physical wellness. Judge Morris is the State Bar of Georgia Suicide Awareness and Prevention committee chairperson and travels the country providing education and awareness to end deaths by suicide. Judge Morris also serves as the past chairperson of DeKalb County CASA.

Hilary currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Vice President and State Underwriting Counsel. She joined the staff of Chicago Title Insurance Company, Atlanta Office, as an underwriter in January of 2005. Along with commercial and residential underwriting, Hilary provides training for agents on the basics of title insurance and other title related topics as requested by agents.  Hilary has been a speaker on various title insurance topics for the State Bar of Georgia, ICLE, SLTA, National Business Institute, and other CLE and professional associations.  Hilary has also appeared as a guest lecturer at the University of Georgia School Of Law and the Georgia Tech College of Business.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 and her Juris Doctorate degree cum laude in 1998 from the University of Georgia. Prior to working for Chicago Title, Hilary practiced law in Georgia with an emphasis on title issues, residential real estate and foreclosures. Member: State Bar of Georgia (Real Estate Section), Executive Committee Member Chair for the RPLS, Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta (CREW), Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA, Inc.).  Hilary is the mother of a fifteen-year-old son, a thirteen-year-old daughter, two cats and a dog and in her “spare time” she enjoys travel and the outdoors with her family and hopes to return to whitewater kayaking someday.
