Allie Jett is the founding partner of Jett Law Group. Originally from Charleston, SC, Allie is a “Double Dawg” having received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Linguistics and Classical Culture and her Law Degree from the University of Georgia.

Allie started her real estate career at age 16 in the Cobb County Deed Records Room when she started running titles for her family’s mortgage business. She continued working in various capacities for that mortgage company until entering law school. 

Allie has spent her legal career representing governmental, individual, and corporate clients in a wide range of real estate-related disputes on both the trial and appellate levels as well as general counseling regarding best practices and risk mitigation outside of litigation. She focuses her practice on litigating title to real property and property tax matters. She also frequently acts as a court-appointed Special Master in quiet title proceedings and auditor in a variety of other real estate disputes.

Allie is admitted to the bar in both Georgia and South Carolina and has been named a “Georgia Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine (every year from 2012 to 2018) and a Super Lawyer for every year from 2019-2024.

Mark Robinson currently serves as Vice President and Georgia State Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.   Prior to joining Old Republic, Mark practiced both as a solo practitioner and as partner in his own firm with multiple offices in Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas.  In his role at Old Republic, Mark provides the Company’s agents, attorneys and their staff with underwriting guidance and advice on a wide variety of title insurance and real estate related matters.

 

Mark is a graduate of Georgia State University with a BBA in Finance, and he earned his law degree from Emory University School of Law.  Mark is member of the State Bar of Georgia and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section.  He is admitted to the Courts of the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia and is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. 

 

Mark also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the Southeast Land Title Association (SLTA).  Mark is a frequent speaker and educational trainer for members of the Georgia Bar and real estate industry professionals.

A founding principal of The Gilroy Firm, Ms. Gilroy is the firm’s managing partner and has over 25 years of experience practicing law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. In addition, Ms. Gilroy attended the Ealing College of Higher Education, England in a study abroad program.

 

Ms. Gilroy remains an active partner in the Litigation Department as the focus of her national litigation practice includes all aspects of real estate litigation, including property management issues, fair housing, foreclosure and title disputes, broker and agent liability defense, mortgage fraud-related litigation and civil and commercial contract disputes. She also leads the Default Department providing national foreclosure, bankruptcy, and loss mitigation and eviction services. During her career, Ms. Gilroy has served as the litigation liaison for leading lending institutions as well as managed their national bankruptcy litigation program. She continues to serve as counsel for many national and local banks, mortgage companies and real estate industry lenders and leaders. She regularly assists closing attorneys, real estate agents, property managers, title companies and brokers when title or other contract issues arise. She practiced for several years in the areas of estate and trust litigation and serves regularly as a Special Master in Fulton County. Ms. Gilroy has extensive lead counsel trial experience and frequently appears in all of the state and federal courts of Georgia, including the state and federal appellate courts. She is also a member in good standing with the United States Supreme Court.

 

Ms. Gilroy has conducted hundreds of jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations and mediations and regularly argues dispositive motions of all kinds.

 

Ms. Gilroy is the immediate past Chair of the Real Property Law Section (“RPLS”) of the State Bar of Georgia, which is the largest section of the state bar. She previously served as the Editor of the RPLS Newsletter. A long-standing member of the State Bar of Georgia, she was appointed by the last five Presidents of the State Bar to serve on the Programs Committee.

 

In addition to the numerous articles, papers and publications over her career, she is a contributing writer to Foreclosure Law and Related Remedies: a State-by-State Digest which is published by the American Bar Association. She recently was published by Thompson Reuters in the book, Inside the Minds: Mortgage and Finance Fraud Litigation Strategies, 2015 ed.

 

In 2014, Ms. Gilroy also was selected to serve on the American Land Title Association (ALTA) National Education Committee, one of only a dozen members who write the curriculum for ALTA members. Recently, she was honored to draft an Amicus Brief on behalf of ALTA for a case pending in the Georgia Supreme Court.

 

Ms. Gilroy enjoys membership with the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Georgia Women’s Lawyers Association, Georgia Mortgage Bankers Association, the Atlanta Board of Realtors and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She speaks and teaches on a regular basis at the state and national level to attorneys, real estate professionals, property managers, and real estate brokers and agents on litigation and real estate related topics. Ms. Gilroy holds an AV-peer review rating with Martindale Hubbell. She is a peer nominated Georgia Super Lawyer for three years running in the practice area of real estate.

 

Ms. Gilroy is a longtime volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, serving as a group leader and teen mentor, as well as a volunteer coordinator for the Fulton County Public School System. She is also an active volunteer educator in her church in Johns Creek, Georgia.

Matthew Totten is the founder and managing attorney for The Totten Firm, LLC. Matthew represents property managers, lenders, property owners, and investors in a wide range of real property-related matters in trial and appellate courts. Further, Mr. Totten advises clients on best practices, risk mitigation, and potential out-of-court solutions at each stage of their business.

Additionally, Matthew has significant experience in landlord-tenant matters, representing local and national property management clients throughout the eviction process, defending adverse tenant litigation, addressing bankruptcy-related matters, and navigating the unique issues posed to lenders during post-foreclosure REO. 

Further, Matthew extensively litigates and resolves title issues as to real property, including representing lenders and consumers in lien priority disputes, title defects, and other items affecting real property interests. Matthew has substantial experience in representing financial institutions and servicers throughout the non-judicial foreclosure process, including resolving title-related concerns prior to conducting foreclosure.

Additionally, he advocates for property owners with local municipalities, including representing a national wireless telecommunications company as to special use concerns, as well as individual property owners regarding local historic preservation matters.

 

As a graduate of the University of Georgia (BBA, Finance) and the University of South Carolina (JD), he is admitted to the bar of all State of Georgia Courts, as well as the federal and bankruptcy courts of the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.


Matthew is an accomplished and peer-recognized Georgia Super Lawyer as a real estate attorney, having been designated as such for five consecutive years, and is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the largest section of the State Bar. He is originally from Brunswick, Georgia and lives in Dekalb County, Georgia with his amazing wife, three wonderful kids, and prioritizes giving back to the community as an Eagle Scout.

Mark Chastain, PLS is President of Chastain & Associates, P.C. located in Ellijay, Georgia which was established in 1995 and offers specialized land surveying services in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, and South Carolina.  He has an associate degree from Southern Tech and a bachelor degree from Kennesaw State.  

From 2003 through 2021, he served on the Georgia Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyor where he reviewed licensure applications and worked with the Attorney General’s office on disciplinary and enforcement actions.  

Mark is a corresponding member of the ALTA/NSPS Survey Standards Committee and a frequent guest lecturer at the University of North Georgia on the legal aspects of land surveying.  He is also a frequent presenter at seminars for the State Bar of Georgia, the Southeastern Land Title Association, the Tennessee Land Title Association, and the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia.
