Alan Kozarsky M.D.

Alan Kozarsky, MD is a Senior FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner, HIMS-qualified physician, and Federal Air Surgeon Consultant in Ophthalmology. He is board-certified in ophthalmology and fellowship-trained in cornea and anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Kozarsky received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he completed his ophthalmology residency, followed by corneal fellowship training at Emory University, where he later served as Director of Residency Training.

He has participated in numerous complex aeromedical certification matters as a senior designated aviation medical examiner and as an ophthalmology consultant to the FAA.

Dr. Kozarsky is an active pilot and holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with airplane and helicopter/rotorcraft ratings. He is type-rated in the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet, with prior SFAR qualification in the Mitsubishi MU-2, and has accumulated over 10,000 total flight hours, including more than 2,000 hours of turbine pilot-in-command time.

He has received numerous professional and aviation honors, including the FAA’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award.

Dr. Kozarsky resides in Emerson, Georgia.
