Ms. Amanda Nichole Moulthrop

Amanda Moulthrop spent the majority of her career as a civil and family law litigator with Legal Aid of Cobb County, serving as the director of their pro bono project, the Cobb Justice Foundation.   Amanda also spent time in private practice, providing legal representation and strategic advice to clients in a wide variety of civil matters, including employment, estate planning and probate litigation.   She is the founder of Moulthrop Law & Moulthrop Mediation,  where she focuses exclusively on guardian ad litem work in Cobb County, as well as domestic, general civil and probate mediations and arbitrations all over the metro area. 

 

Amanda’s background includes a B.S. in Social Science Education (cum laude) from the University of Georgia, where she studied to become a high school history teacher.   Amanda later attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where she graduated with honors.     

 

In addition to being a member of both the State Bar of Georgia and the Cobb Bar Association, where she has held key leadership positions, Amanda is a certified neutral and is registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, with a specialized certification in domestic mediation and domestic violence mediation.    She is also a Georgia certified arbitrator.  She served for several years as a Member at Large for the Board of Trustees of the Cobb Bar Association and is a founding member and past president of the Guardian ad Litem Section of the Cobb Bar Association.  She continues to serve on the executive board of the section in an advisory role.
