Ms. Ashlee Michelle Rouse

Ashlee is a transactional entertainment attorney practicing in Atlanta, Georgia. She has always had a deep love and appreciation for entertainment and the arts. Ashlee grew up dancing and performing, which inspired her decision to seek a career in entertainment law at an early age.


She attended The University of Alabama, where she majored in English and minored in African American Studies. While there, she was very involved with The Future Black Law Students Association. Upon graduating from college, she came back home to Atlanta to attend John Marshall Law School. During law school, she served as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and interned with prominent entertainment attorneys in Atlanta, Georgia.


Upon passing the Georgia bar exam, she joined Carter + Woodard as an associate attorney. Ashlee is a member of many professional organizations, such as the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the Georgia Bar, and a Professional Member of the Recording Academy.


By combining her passion for protecting creatives’ rights and fostering her love of theatre and dance, Ashlee currently serves on the board of directors for City Springs Theatre Company in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
