Ms. Cherese Chantell Clark-Wilson

Cherese Clark-Wilson, is known for her formidable litigation skills, commitment to justice, and enduring service to families as a family law practitioner and guardian ad litem. She received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State College of Law where she is now a family law adjunct professor. A proud alumna of Spelman College, Ms. Clark-Wilson earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a Pre-Law Concentration.

Her legal career began as a mitigation specialist with the Capital Defenders Office and criminal investigator with the State of Georgia. During her third year of law school, she transitioned from a criminal investigator to public defender at the Clayton County Public Defenders Office. With extensive trial and litigation experience, Ms. Clark-Wilson has become a zealous advocate in complex custody matters, high-conflict divorce, and child advocacy. She serves as a guardian ad litem throughout the Atlanta Metro.

Her leadership and legal acumen have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as a “Rising Star of Georgia” by Super Lawyers (2015–2022) and a Georgia Super Lawyer (2023–2025). She has also been named a National Top 100 Black Lawyers in Matrimonial and Family Law, a Top 40 Under 40 Honoree for outstanding leadership in family law—where she serves as an Executive Board Member—and a Top 10 Family Law Attorney by the American Jurist Institute.  She also received the Essence Magazine “Boss Lady Moves” Award in recognition of her journey to excellence and influence within the legal profession.

Ms. Clark-Wilson is actively involved in both the legal and broader community. She holds memberships with the Kentucky Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, Charles Weltner Inn of Court, Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She also serves on the Board of Directors for A.I.M. ("Acts Inspired by Mookie"), a non-profit organization created by World Series champion Mookie Betts, dedicated to empowering underserved youth and families through education, health, and opportunity initiatives.

With an unwavering dedication to advocacy, education, and service, Cherese Clark-Wilson continues to elevate the practice of family law while inspiring others through her leadership and legacy.
