Hon. Connie L. Williford

Macon Circuit Superior Court


Judge Connie L. Williford was appointed to the Superior Court bench for the Macon Judicial Circuit (Macon-Bibb, Peach and Crawford Counties) on October 29, 2020.

Previously, she worked for five years with a prestigious Macon personal injury firm before opening her own firm, “The Law Offices of Connie L. Williford” in January 2006. For the next 15 years, until taking the bench, she practiced almost exclusively as a family law attorney throughout Middle Georgia.

Born and raised in Newnan, Judge Williford attended Newnan High School.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of West Georgia and her juris doctorate from Mercer University School of Law, where she received the “Outstanding Law Student” award.  While at Mercer Law, Judge Williford was the President of The Association of Women Law Students (AWLS) and founded the AWLS Charity Ball and Auction which is still an annual spring tradition at the law school and has now raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities in Middle Georgia.  

Judge Williford has been named “Lawyer of the Year” by the Macon Bar Association and has also received the prestigious “Justice Robert Benham Community Service Award.” Additionally, in 2020 she was awarded The President’s Volunteer Service Award.  Judge Williford is a member of several organizations and boards including the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL), William A. Bootle American Inn of Court, the Georgia Child Support Commission, where she currently co-chairs the Statute Review Subcommittee, and the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.

Judge Williford is married to James Marsh and they reside in Macon.
