Daniel Felz is a partner in Alston & Bird’s Privacy, Cyber, AI, and Data Strategies group.  He serves as lead privacy, cyber, and AI counsel for national and global brands.  Dan represents companies across the various verticals within the healthcare industry, providing regulatory and litigation defense, product advising, and support on commercial and M&A transactions. Dan began his career abroad as an assistant professor of law at a German law school, where he cut his teeth on privacy, cyber, and tech law.  Upon returning to the US, he initially worked as a commercial litigator, managing high-stakes cross-border cases in federal and state court.  Dan’s practice blends these experiences into a comprehensive approach that provides actionable, globally-usable answers to complex questions while protecting against the unique risks the healthcare sector faces.
