Gregory (Greg) Fosheim is a partner in the Healthcare and Life Sciences practice group of McDermott Will & Schulte where he provides counsel on a wide array of corporate, transactional and regulatory compliance matters across the healthcare and life sciences industry with a particular focus on clinical and diagnostic laboratory matters. With deep experience in LGBTQ+ healthcare, Greg leads McDermott’s LGBTQ+ Diversity Subcommittee and has worked with the subcommittee to file amicus briefs with the U.S. Supreme Court in cases affecting LGBTQ+ healthcare. Greg is also a member of the Board of Directors for the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.

Greg frequently writes, speaks and advises on quality, access and patient empowerment in the provision of equitable healthcare services, with a particular focus on helping covered entities comply with the nondiscrimination provisions of Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Greg has also advised many clients on the impact of gender affirming care executive orders and risks associated with preemptive compliance and non-compliance. He co-leads McDermott’s interdisciplinary task force assigned to addressing the issues the executive orders create for healthcare providers.

Greg graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in 2014 and also earned a Master of Public Health degree in 2003 from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 from Luther College.  He now lives in Chicago.
