JEFFREY PAUL LUTZ is the Chair of Culhane Meadows’ litigation practice group and plays an active role in the Firm’s real estate practice group. Mr. Lutz’s practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses in contract-based disputes.


Due to his past work background and family connections, Mr. Lutz has significant experience working with and for companies involved in commercial and residential development. His many clients are involved in all aspects of development and construction: real estate developers and owners, agents and brokers, design professionals, and general contractors and specialty subcontractors. Mr. Lutz represents these companies in contract negotiation, drafting, and myriad construction-related disputes including: bid protests, mechanics’ and materialmen’s liens, broker’s liens, performance and payment bonds, design defect, workforce supplementation, delay and scheduling, project settlement cramdowns, real property tax assessments, design infringement, project change orders, and extracontractual performance. 


Representative Experience: Mr. Lutz has represented and served as lead counsel for construction projects and disputes across the nation:
•  Multi-million dollar verdict for contractor in claim before the American Arbitration Association in Pittsburgh, PA
•  Successful resolution of seven figure defect claim involving $12m beach home in Sea Island, GA
•  Successful resolution of $5m+ cost impact claim on behalf of contractor against City of Los Angeles, CA
•  Successful resolution of contractor claim involving Federal DOT project in Olympia, WA
•  Six figure verdict for contractor in claim before the American Arbitration Association in Detroit, MI
•  Contract negotiation, drafting, and administration for $25m+ construction project on behalf of 5-Star Coastal Resort.
