Jeremy Betts is an experienced attorney with almost 20 years of legislative and regulatory experience. He currently serves as the Executive Counsel to the Georgia Commissioner of Insurance and Safety-Fire. In this role, he provides legal counsel to the Commissioner and the Department on a wide range of legal issues, including insurance regulation and fire protection and safety regulations.

Before serving as the Executive Counsel, Jeremy worked as an attorney within the Enforcement Division of the OCI. Prior to his work with the OCI, he represented clients at various levels of government, primarily in the health insurance field. Jeremy began his career as a Policy Analyst in the Georgia General Assembly in 2005. Jeremy attended Georgia State University for both his undergraduate and law degrees.
