Dr. Joanne Peeler Ph.D.

Dr. Peeler is a Past President of the Georgia Psychological Association. She served on the
Continuing Education Committee of the American Psychological Association, and on the
Executive Committee of the non-profit Georgia Psychological Foundation.
In 2023 she received the Foundations Presidents award for Outstanding Service.
A private practice psychologist for over 35 years, she has focused her career on trauma, stress,
medical psychology and life transitions. Her career includes working on a military base, two
medical centers and serving on Delta Airlines Disaster Response team.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Peeler has been an adjunct faculty member where she trained future psychologists, delivered speaking engagements to a wide variety of audiences including an Atlanta Bar Association Women in the Profession Section Event “Mental Health Workshop: Combating Anxiety in 2021” and a 2024 Galentine joint Virtual Workshop through the Atlanta Bar Association and Georgia Association for Women Lawyers on “Self-Love and Care”. You can also find her weekly as co-host on the radio show called On Your Mind, which focuses
on issues related to mental health.
Dr. Peeler is the proud mother of a 2021 UGA law school graduate and new rescue dog named
Bear.
