Mr. John V. Hogan V


John V. Hogan began practicing Social Security law when employed by Niagara County (N.Y.) Legal Aid.  He was an Attorney Advisor in SSA’s Office of Hearings and Appeals from 1982 -1984, working first in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and then Atlanta, GA.  Since 1984 he has been in private practice in metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia, representing clients throughout the country.  He formerly served as Co-chair of the Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Social Security section and served three terms on NOSSCR’s Board of Directors for the 11th Circuit.  Mr. Hogan was one of the first attorneys in the country representing disabled NFL players and was actively involved in improving their benefits, leading him to be appointed as Chair of the NFL Alumni Association’s Disability Advisory Committee in 2011. He has spoken at Sports Law Seminars at Duke Law School and Santa Clara Law School. He has also presented  at numerous NOSSCR conferences and the Georgia Bar’s Institute on Continuing Legal Education.
