Johnny R. Brooks is the Director, Program Integrity for the Georgia Department of Community Health, Office of Inspector General. He has served in this role since November 2022. Mr. Brooks oversees the Medicaid agency’s Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) activities, coordinating and supervising audits and investigations of Medicaid providers. Mr. Brooks collaborates with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and Managed Care Organizations. Mr. Brooks is a retired U.S. Army veteran and holds a Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University. He has over 15 years’ experience investigating Medicaid fraud. Prior to joining the Department, he served as the Chief Investigator, with the Georgia Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. In 2018, he received the U.S. Attorney’s Award (Northern District of Georgia) for his dedication and commitment to the pursuit of justice.
