Laurie Webb Daniel is a known resource for motions, appeals, and strategic trial
support in high stakes litigation. She represents clients nationwide in state and federal

? Secured reversal of a $150 million jury verdict with judgment rendered in favor of
client as a matter of law in case alleging defamation and negligence in testing of
government contractor's work.
? Secured reversal of numerous jury verdicts in personal injury cases involving
damage awards ranging from $20 million to more than $50 million.
? Defended Georgia’s statutory cap on punitive damages against challenges
brought under the State Constitution.
? Reversed sanctions rulings in a number of cases ranging from default judgments
to oversized attorneys’ fee awards.
? Achieved favorable resolution by settlement of cases involving jury verdicts in the
$100 million range.
? Obtained reinstatement of a $100 million trade secrets claim against a dominant
government contractor in the aerospace sector.
? Obtained order granting post-trial motions after a $37 million jury verdict was
entered against client on a trade secrets claim in the government contracting
arena.
? Won rehearing en banc resulting in the Eleventh Circuit’s vacating substantial
sanctions under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act.
? Won affirmance of summary judgment on behalf of subdivision developer in
putative class action brought after live munitions were discovered behind the
middle school serving the development, which was built adjacent to a World War
II military practice site.
? Obtained reversal of judgments in antitrust matters ranging from predatory
pricing to patent litigation.
? Secured reversal of $8 million jury verdict in medical negligence and advertising
case.
