Mr. Louis Jensen Tesser
Tesser Mediation LLC
Louis Tesser is a seasoned family law litigator and mediator who has spent nearly three decades helping families navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions. Over the years, Louis has tried numerous jury and bench trials involving every aspect of family law — from complex financial disputes to high-conflict custody battles. He’s also participated in hundreds of mediations, both as an advocate and as a mediator, and believes deeply in the value of resolving disputes with empathy and clarity.
Louis has been honored to serve as Chair of both the Atlanta Bar Association Family Law Section and the DeKalb County Bar Association Family Law Section — roles that allowed him to work alongside and learn from many of the colleagues he admires most.
He holds a Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude degree in Government from Clark University in Massachusetts, a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Georgia, and a Juris Doctor from the College of William and Mary. After practicing exclusively in family law with what is now Kessler & Solomiany from 2001 to 2017, including nine years as a partner, Louis shifted his focus to mediation, founding Tesser Mediation in 2018.
A registered member of the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution and certified for all domestic cases — including those involving family violence — Louis also teaches and speaks regularly about mediation. Beyond the courtroom and mediation table, Louis brings personal perspective to his work as someone who has divorced, remarried, and is now part of a blended family. He understands, both professionally and personally, the challenges families face and the importance of navigating them with care.
