Ms. M. Ann Nama McElroy

M. Ann McElroy is a senior attorney at Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, where she has practiced law in the area of workers’ compensation defense since 2008. She graduated with a history degree from the University of Georgia, and she received her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. She is ranked by her peers among an elite group of attorneys who earn the AV Preeminent Rating, Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review. Her clients include county governments, insurance companies and large-scale claims management companies. In addition to Georgia, Ann is licensed in and practices in Tennessee.

Before joining Swift Currie, Ann practiced at a criminal defense and plaintiff firm for four years before switching to workers' compensation defense. She also formerly prosecuted misdemeanors for Fulton County during her third year of law school and after graduation. 

Ann has run several half-marathons and plays tennis on her neighborhood ALTA team. She also enjoys watching all types of sporting events, including the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, US soccer teams, and especially her two daughters' club soccer games.
