Margaret Cook is General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Alliant National Title Insurance Company. Ms. Cook has worked in the title insurance industry since 1996, formerly serving as Chief Claims Counsel, as Regional Underwriting Counsel, and as Deputy General Counsel for various underwriters. She is a Past-President of the Land Title Association of Colorado, and Past-Chair of the Colorado Title Advisory Council. She currently serves on the Title Standards Committee for the Colorado Bar Association, and the Legislative Affairs Committee and the Education Committee for the Land Title Association of Colorado. She also serves as Vice Chair of the American Land Title Association’s NAIC Liaison Work Group and as a member of ALTA’s Title Counsel Work Group, Digital Closing Work Group, and State Legislative/Regulatory Action Committee. She has been a featured speaker at seminars held by the American Land Title Association, the Land Title Association of Colorado, the Idaho Land Title Association, the Illinois Land Title Association, the Colorado BAR Association, Colorado Certified Closers Association, and the National Business Institute.
