Ms. Racheal G. Henderson

Racheal G. Henderson, a native of Waycross, Georgia, received a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and a B.A. degree in Political Science from Georgia State University. She spent three years in Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer before obtaining a J.D. from the University of Minnesota. She has extensive litigation experience and has successfully concluded a number of significant class action lawsuits as well as several notable Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia cases. She was awarded the Dan Bradley Award by the State Bar of Georgia in 1999 for providing assistance to the SSI Kids Disability Pro Bono Project spearheaded by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP. In addition to co-chairing the Public Benefits Task Force as a Social Security specialist for GLSP, she has made Social Security presentations at the National Legal Aid and Defender's Substantive Law Conference and the State Bar Annual I.C.L.E. Social Security Trial Institute.
She was instrumental in obtaining a grant to fund a partnership with the McKinney Medical Center,Inc. in Ware County. Racheal is one of two on site staff attorneys where she assists applicants with a variety of Public Benefits cases such as non-disability Social Security and SSI benefits.
