Hon. Rebecca Crumrine Rieder

Rebecca Crumrine Rieder (“Becca”) served as a Superior Court Judge in Fulton County Georgia through December 2020 at which time she began a full-time alternative dispute resolution practice, Resolute Law.  As a former civil litigator, domestic relations attorney and Superior Court Judge she has decades of experience in Domestic Relations as a litigator, Guardian ad Litem, mediator and arbitrator. 

Recognized by her peers and the legal community as one of the top-rated attorneys in Georgia, Becca is a past chair of the Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, and the DeKalb Bar Association.  She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; and, prior to taking the bench, Law & Politics and Atlanta Magazine repeatedly recognized Becca as one of Georgia’s "Top 100 Lawyers" and “Top 50 Women Lawyers.” 

Prior to obtaining her JD, Becca taught middle and high school English and History. 

Becca received her undergraduate degree from Sewanee: The University of the South in 1991, her MEd from the University of Georgia in 1994, and her JD from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2001. 

Becca frequently authors materials and speaks on professional and legal matters throughout the state and the country.

 

  Becca believes in giving back to her community both professionally and personally.  Becca has extensive community involvement including volunteer leadership roles with several non-profit boards throughout metro Atlanta, including Oakland Cemetery, DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Neighbor in Need and Breakthru House Woman’s Advisory Board.  Currently, Becca serves the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution (Member & Ethics Committee); the Atlanta Bar Association (Immediate Past Chair); her alma mater, Sewanee as the Alumni Council Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees; and, as a member of the Bascom Board in Highlands, North Carolina. 

 

Becca resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Doug Rieder.
