Richard W. Schiffman, Jr. was admitted to the practice of law in 1981, having graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1977 and the Cumberland School of Law in 1981. Rick started practicing law with Jack Turner from 1981-1988 and thereafter with Davis, Matthews & Quigley until 2013 where he was a shareholder. Rick is the former chair of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. He was a founder and second President of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court. He is a former President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has consistently been listed as one of the “best lawyers in America,” “Superlawyers,” and in Georgia Trend magazine and in other periodicals. His has spoken on most all topics regarding family law at scores of seminars. Rick continues to practice Family Law with a primary focus on mediation and arbitration.
