Born and raised in Savannah, Sam received a BA in Spanish from Furman University, in Greenville, South Carolina, and an MBA, with a dual concentration in finance and management, from Fordham University in New York City.
Sam also earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) designations. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Atlanta Society of Financial and Investment Professionals (ASFIP), the Association of Divorce Financial Planners (ADFP), and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA) where he currently serves on the Board of Advisors.
Sam has been published twice in the Divorce Financial Analyst (DFA) Journal, a national publication. He has also been published in the Family Law Review and written several articles for local newspapers and magazines. Sam has presented at the national conference for the Institute of Divorce Financial Analyst (IDFA) and frequently testifies as an expert witness.
