Ms. Sharnell Sinae-Shante Simon

Sharnell Simon is a fifth-year associate at Jones Day, where she conducts investigations, advises on cybersecurity and data privacy matters, and litigates a wide variety of issues in courts around the country. Sharnell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Spelman College and earned her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2019. During law school, she participated in the GSU Law Review, Moot Court, Black Law Students Association, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Sharnell maintains an active pro bono practice, which involves assisting survivors of human trafficking receive post-conviction relief, volunteering with the Georgia Justice Project to help clients complete their pardon applications, and representing clients in various immigration matters. Sharnell also serves on the State Bar of Georgia Access to Justice Committee. Sharnell is part of the Southern Center for Human Rights Ambassador’s Leadership Council and has the pleasure of being part of this year’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy.
