Mr. Terry Grandison

Terry Grandison is an attorney with over twenty-five years of trial, litigation, transactional, and legislative experience. He is a zealous advocate who brings a wealth of experience and exceptional insight into the practice of law. Mr. Grandison earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Mercer University School of Law, where he was a Patricia Roberts Harris Fellow. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Alabama.

Mr. Grandison serves as Deputy Chief for the Quality-of-Life Unit in the Office of the DeKalb County Solicitor-General. In this position, he prosecutes all cases involving code violations, blight, nuisance, and other issues that may plague a community or business in DeKalb County.

Prior to his work in DeKalb, Mr. Grandison served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Fulton County Attorney’s Office for eleven years. In this role, Mr. Grandison represented Fulton County Government departments in a variety of subject matter areas, including real estate purchase and land acquisition, personal injury, drafting of complex ground leases and contracts, drafting of resolutions and ordinances, personnel administrative hearings, arbitrations, and Section 1983 litigation. 

While with Fulton County Government, Mr. Grandison was involved in all phases of litigation, trial, and appellate practice in state and federal courts. He has also served as lead counsel to obtain successful defense verdicts in the areas of constitutional law, personal injury, personnel, and employment law. Further, he served as in-house counsel to the Fulton County Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, Fulton County Airport (Charlie Brown Airport), and Fulton County/City of Atlanta Land Bank Authority. Mr. Grandison was selected as a member of the Urban Land Institute Center for Leadership Class of 2017.

Before working with the Fulton County Attorney’s Office, Mr. Grandison worked as Assistant City Attorney in the City of Atlanta’s Department of Law. Mr. Grandison is also a veteran of the United States Navy

In his free time, Mr. Grandison is actively involved in his church ministry and spends time with his family.
