Ted Eittreim is the managing partner of Eittreim Martin Cutler, LLC, a boutique family law firm in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has been practicing family law for over twenty years, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, one of only approximately thirty lawyers so-designated in the entire State of Georgia.

While he provides representation in all areas of family law practice, Mr. Eittreim’s primary focus is on representing his clients in complex, high asset divorce cases, as well as in divorce and non-divorce matters involving highly-contested custody and parenting time disputes.

Among other accolades, Mr. Eittreim has been named a Georgia Super Lawyer in the area of family law every year beginning in 2014, and since 2020 he has been recognized as a Top 100 Super Lawyer, listed as one of the top 100 lawyers in the entire State of Georgia, regardless of practice area.  He is listed among the Best Lawyers in America, and he was recognized as the Family Law “Lawyer of the Year” in 2020 and again in 2023 for all of Atlanta by Best Lawyers.  Mr. Eittreim is rated “AV – Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubble, the highest possible rating awarded, and he has been recognized as one of Georgia’s “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine.  He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor bestowed upon only one percent of attorneys nationwide.

Mr. Eittreim currently serves as the Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.  He is a past Editor of the Family Law Review, the quarterly periodical published by the State Bar and the Family Law Section, and he is a frequent speaker on family law topics at continuing legal education programs and seminars.  He enjoys membership in several organizations that recognize professionalism and excellence in family law practice, including the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court, where he is a Master and a member of the Executive Committee.  Mr. Eittreim is also a member of several bar and professional associations, including the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.  Mr. Eittreim is also an adjunct member of the faculty at Emory University School of Law, where he is a guest lecturer on family law and trial practice topics and an instructor at the Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques, one of the most highly regarded and intensive trial skills programs offered at any law school in the nation.

Mr. Eittreim graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 and Emory University School of Law in 1998.  He is licensed to practice law in Georgia and New Jersey.
