Elizabeth founded Garvish Immigration Law Group, LLC in 2011 with the  mission to be the "Happiest Law Firm in America." In June 2022, Elizabeth was recognized as a Legal Innovator at the Daily Report’s Georgia Legal Awards and as one of  Georgia's Titan 100.  She is ranked in the 2023 Chambers USA Guide and was included in the 2023 LawDragon Inaugural 100 Leading Immigration Lawyers Guide.  Elizabeth is a frequent speaker and presenter on U.S. immigration topics around the world. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) serving on various national committees as well as serving as the Past Chair of the Georgia-Alabama Chapter of AILA. She also served for many years as the local Coordinator of AILA’s national Citizenship Day Naturalization Drive, and was recognized for her development of this program on local level as the recipient of the State Bar of Georgia’s H. Sol Clark Pro Bono Award in 2008. In 2012, she was recognized as an Agent of Change by the New Leaders Council and she received the AILA Champion of the Year award from the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network in 2015. For many years, Elizabeth hosted an internet radio show on wceg.org called “Beyond the Border.” She earned her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and her J.D. from Tulane University School of Law. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers and licensed to practice law in Georgia, Texas and South Carolina and fluent in Spanish.

Matt is a German and U.S. lawyer, holding a U.S. Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Georgia School of Law. He obtained both his German and his U.S. law license (NY) in 2015. In 2019, Matt was also sworn into the Georgia Bar.

Matt focuses his legal services on supporting foreign-owned business entities and individuals investing in the U.S. in the areas of immigration, corporate, and employment law. He supports companies’ global immigration needs through both U.S. immigration and non-immigration visa processing for businesses and families (temporary work visas and green cards). He has established himself as an esteemed member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has become a welcome speaker at various conferences.

Matt served as a board member of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia, Inc. (“Stonewall”) for many years and supports the organization. Stonewall is a professional association of attorneys, judges, law students, paralegals, and other legal professionals who support the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, and who oppose discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Matt also serves as the co-chair supporting the LGBTQ Professionals Subcommittee of AGG’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee.

Matt is also the new chair of the Atlanta Sister Cities Commission after serving as the Atlanta-Nuremberg Sister Cities Commission chair for many years. The City of Atlanta fosters 17 sister-city relationships with communities across the globe. The Atlanta Sister Cities Commission has continued to expand its programming by promoting mutually beneficial cultural, educational, economic, and community development exchanges. Under Mayor Andre Dickens’ leadership, the Commission has positioned itself to enhance its efforts through increased marketing, a charitable foundation, and increased staff support from the Mayor’s Office of International Affairs.

Sonal R. Shah is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she obtained her Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in political science and international studies. Practicing immigration law solely for more than ten years, she is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Florida.

 

Sonal is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Florida, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL). In addition, she currently serves on the Executive Committee as Secretary for the  AILA Georgia- Alabama Chapter.  

 

Several experiences contributed to Sonal’s passion for serving the needs of immigrants. She has recently expanded her practice into healthcare immigration working with healthcare recruiting firms, clinical services organizations, and health systems nationally. Lucy immigrated to the U.S. over 20 years ago as an international student. She graduated from Tsinghua University, China with a LL. B degree and then pursued her law school study in Illinois Tech. She also studied in Georgia Tech in an EMBA program. Before her law school study, she  earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Her unique blend of technical expertise and legal knowledge prove to be a powerful combination.

Driven by a deep desire to help immigrants navigate the complexities of immigration law, Lucy established her law firm. Recognizing the inefficiencies and challenges faced by lawyers in their day-to-day work, Lucy embarked on a new venture in software company helping lawyers draft, automate, and collaborate.
