Rich Dolder focuses his practice on insurance coverage and insurance "bad faith."  On behalf of insured defendants and injured claimants, he works to make sure insurance companies take responsibility when they cause judgments in excess of policy limits.  He handles declaratory judgment actions regarding insurance coverage and consults with other attorneys on coverage issues, failure to settle and offer and acceptance.  He is a co-author of Insurance Bad Faith:  The Law in Georgia, soon to be printed in its fourth edition.

Michael D. St. Amand practices civil litigation, with specialization in the area of insurance defense. He has extensive jury trial experience and has served as lead trial counsel in over 100 federal and state court cases. He is currently working as house counsel with Progressive Insurance Company, continuing to represent defendants and focusing on training and mentorship of younger attorneys.

Mr. St. Amand was a founding partner at Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske, LLP, where he practiced for over 25 years. While at the firm, he served as statewide counsel for large and small insurance companies, as well as private corporations. 

Mr. St. Amand was honored statewide in 2020 as a recipient of the “Tradition of Excellence Award” presented by the General Practice & Trial Law Section of the Georgia State Bar. The awards are presented to four outstanding members of the Bar, one Plaintiff lawyer, one Defense lawyer, one General Practice lawyer and one Judge.

In 2022, Mr. St. Amand was presented with the Twenty-Second Annual Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service. The award spotlights Georgia judges and lawyers who have made significant contributions to their communities and thereby demonstrate the positive contributions of members of the Bar beyond their legal work. Mr. St. Amand has a record of extensive volunteerism, participating in a wide range of organizations, including the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy, Big Brothers, the Atlanta Santa Project, Clean My Water, Second Helpings and Rails to Trails. Recently, Mr. St. Amand proudly assisted in “move in” day at Kennesaw State University for the daughter of his “Little Brother” whom he met while in law school at UGA in 1986. She is the first in her family to attend college and her accomplishment is one of Mr. St. Amand’s most joyful moments. 

Mr. St. Amand has extensive experience training attorneys throughout the state and has made presentations at a number of continuing legal education seminars on ADR and mediation, premises liability cases, challenging and cross-examining expert witnesses, and defending punitive damage claims. He has also led and participated in numerous client seminars on various casualty insurance issues.

Mr. St. Amand began practicing law with Messrs. Gray and Rust upon graduation from law school in 1988 and was joined by Messrs. Moffett and Brieske in 1990 and 1994, respectively. Mr. St. Amand is a 1982 graduate of The Westminster Schools, Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated, with honors, from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1985, and received his law degree, cum laude, from the University Of Georgia School Of Law in 1988. Mr. St. Amand’s academic honors include: Bryant T. Castellow Scholarship Award (UGA); National Merit Scholarship (Trinity); Special Presidential Scholarship (Trinity); First Graduate of Trinity University Honors Program (1985); Mortar Board; American Jurisprudence Trusts and Estates Award; and Russell Best Brief Award (UGA).

When not working or volunteering, Mr. St. Amand enjoys relaxing and traveling, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, skiing (badly), golfing or just spending time with his beautiful wife Karen (UGA law, 1988), their three adult children and growing families.

A partner at Warshauer Woodward Atkins since 2013, Trent Shuping has taken cases to trial in state and federal courts throughout Georgia. Trent is a "true believer" Plaintiff's lawyer and specializes in cases involving railroad accidents, tractor-trailer wrecks, defective products, and general negligence cases. In addition to his work in the trial courts, Trent has extensive experience handling appeals in both state and federal courts. He has handled winning oral arguements in front of the Georgia and Tennessee Courts of Appeals as well as the Georgia Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
