Ms. Angela Reedy O'Conor

Judge, State Court of Paulding County


Governor Brian Kemp appointed Angela Reedy O’Conor as the first State Court Judge in Paulding County and was subsequently elected in 2024.

Prior to Governor Kemp’s appointment, she was the Chief Assistant Public Defender from 2013 to 2017 for the Paulding Circuit Public Defender Office.  In 2017,  she was  selected  to serve as the Paulding Circuit Public Defender and served in that capacity until July 2022.

Before coming to Paulding County, she served four years as an Assistant District Attorney for Cobb District Attorney’s Office and six years as a Marietta Police Officer.  During her time on patrol at Marietta she completed law school at John Marshall Law School. She attended University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and interned with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation prior to permanently moving to Georgia. 

Judge O’Conor is an active member in her community and strives to make a positive impact in the community where she is currently raising her 12-year-old son. Judge O’Conor is a member of the Rotary Club of Paulding County, which dedicates its efforts into community resources and scholarships; serves as a Board Member for the Bullock Hope House and is a Wellstar Regional and Foundation Board Member. Judge O’Conor previously served as a Board Member of the Paulding County Bar, a committee member for McKenna Farms, and a graduate of Leadership Paulding Class #29.
