Ms. Lindsay Alexandra Forlines

Lourie Chance Forlines Carter & King PC

Lindsay Forlines is a partner with Forlines Law LLC. Her background stems from multiple years of experience representing defendants in medical negligence and wrongful death cases. In that role, Forlines defended physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other healthcare providers against alleged professional negligence. During this time, she gained experience representing corporate defendants throughout the litigation process, giving her intimate knowledge into the way these cases are defended. This also gave Forlines insight into how these cases are handled by the risk management teams and, importantly, evaluated by the insurance carriers.

Forlines graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2003 with a degree in Journalism, specializing in broadcast journalism. She was proud to anchor Georgia Gameday, an award-winning collegiate television show. In that role, Forlines auditioned against dozens of other accomplished broadcasting students, and was selected as one of two lead anchors. She was a member of multiple academic societies, including Order of Omega and Phi Beta Kappa, organizations honoring students who achieved high academic success and exemplified leadership qualities. Following her undergraduate education, Forlines attended law school at the University of Georgia School of Law, where she graduated in 2008. Forlines was chairperson of the Mock Trial Team and selected to the Lumpkin Inn of Court. Her proudest law school accomplishment was being selected for the Willis J. “Dick” Richardson Jr. Student Award for Outstanding Trial Advocacy.

From 2012-2015, Forlines proudly served her hometown as an elected official on the Avondale Estates Board of Mayor and Commissioners. She also served as president of the DeKalb County Municipal Association in 2013. Forlines has been a repeat instructor at the Emory University Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques, and a repeat featured speaker and panelist at numerous events, including the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers’ Leadership Academy. Additionally, Forlines is the chairperson for Georgia’s Medical Malpractice Institute, the state’s premiere continuing legal education seminar and conference in the field of medical malpractice.
