Sean attended Mercer University College of Liberal Arts, completed the Great Books program, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Language.  He continued on to Emory University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1992, and was admitted to the Georgia bar in June of 1992. He is admitted to the bars of the Northern and Middle District Courts of Georgia, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Georgia and National Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  He served as an Area Vice president from 2021-2024. He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense.  He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a Super Lawyer since 2012, and is rated 10.0 on AVVO. Sean is married and is the father of a high school sophomore and a college freshman.
